The vision which Daniel, the prophet saw assures that the sovereignty, power, and the greatness of all the kingdoms under heaven will be given to the holy people of the Most High. They will rule forever, and all rulers will serve and obey them. (Daniel. 7:26,27) Apostle Paul’s questions to the Corinthians ( 1 Corinthians. 6:2,3), strikes my attention to the fact that this prophecy in Daniel reffere to all those whom God is bringing to himself through Jesus Christ. But sadly many don’t understand the concept of how God is doing that.
Paul’s letter to the Ephesians sheds more rays on Daniel’s vision, as he makes is plain saying, ” God’s secret plan has now been revealed, it is a plan centered on Christ, designed long ago ( question to ask is ‘when’ ). This is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ – everything in heaven and on earth. Now, that’s not all of it, together with Christ we (Jew and Gentile: Ephesians 3:6, 10-12) also have received an inheritance from God. That was His plan from long ago as He decided. (Ephesians. 1:9-13).
Finally, the prophecy of apostle John confirms it in which he saw the vision where all the nations will bring their glory and honor into the city of God. In the city of God only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of Life will be allowed. (Revelation. 21:22-27).
Therefore the prophecy of Daniel is fulfilling in Jesus Christ.
Your confession and believe that Jesus of Nazareth is Lord, and that God raised him from the dead is the key to be saved from the judgement yet to come. (Romans 10:9-10)
For by believing you are made right with God. It means, making peace with God. You are at enimity with God otherwise since you are not walking in the standard of God’s Oracle. And He will bring judgement upon everyone who are violating the royal law of God. He will punish anyone irrespectively, because there is no favouritism in His court. For He is just and righteous altogether. Therefore turning away from your way of living towards God will make you right with Him.
Now, since you turn away from your way and have made peace with God, your confession will save you from being eternally seperated from God in the Lake of Fire. There is a great fate waiting for those who deny the Supreme Message from God, the Day of the Lord. In that day, He will bring judgement on all those who refused to obey Him. But rest and glory for all who patiently endured for His coming. For they believed the supreme message of the Lord.
Believe is to act upon something you accept. It is not merely to aquire some knowledge alone, but also to act upon that knowledge. Today the failure with many are that, they have aquired immense knowledge about the truth of the Lord Jesus Christ, but have altogether failed to act upon. Jesus said ” Not everyone who calls me Lord, Lord will enter the kingdom of God, but the one who does the will of my Father in Heaven.” Paul said, “Therefore present your bodies to God, let them be a living and holy sacrifice, The kind He will accept.” James said, ” Abraham believed God, and therefore he obeyed everything God said, and God declared him righteous”, see! Faith alone is not sufficient, but confession of your faith is essential. Otherwise, your faith is dead.
Considered this message dears friends. Examine your lives. Are you walking Worthy of your calling? Are you at peace with God? Are your bodies presented to God, a kind He accepts? Are you keeping with the royal law of God? Are you persistently enduring for His glorious arrival?
“God will use the persecutions and hardships of suffering to show his justice. For he will make us Worthy of his Kingdom, for which we are suffering, and in his justice he will punish those who persecute us”
All those who wants to live godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. It is God’s plan of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do. I say it again, every way, not a single thing is left out. He created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the things he planned for us long ago. So, all that we must do is to remain faithful to the teachings we have received.
Not everyone is aware of my suffering in Megalaya, a north eastern state of India. I had suffered for preaching the truth of the kingdom of Christ.
One of the local Baptist religious leaders had caused me much trouble. I had been expelled from their fellowship and from preaching, then from his school from teaching. He had influenced everyone one of his and surrounding villages and had them turn against me. Even the Cafeteria where I used to go to quench my hunger, closed their doors upon seeing me. He also interfered with the landlord, when I tried shifting my local residence, and stopped me from getting a shelter. And even my life and testimony was under threat constantly because of the rumors their family spread. All because I rebuked him of teaching false doctrine and misleading the innocent people concerning the second coming of the Lord. They were so brutel altogether, even the gentile would not have done.
They boast calling themselves fundamental Christians, but they are not really Christians.
Apostle Paul shares his testimony of how he suffered greatly at Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. (2 Timothy. 3:10-11). Jesus our Lord had warned about this much earlier. (John. 15:18-16:4). He warned all those would believe him, so that they won’t fall away when they are persecuted. And Jesus reminded us that they will persecute us because they have never known the Father or Him.
Moreover, in his teaching, Paul stated that God will use this persecutions and hardships of suffering to show his justice. Note it, For he will make us Worthy of his Kingdom, for which we are suffering, and in his justice he will punish those who persecute us. God will provide rest for us who are being persecuted when the Lord Jesus appears from heaven. He will come with his mighty angels, in flaming fire, bringing judgement on those who don’t know God and in those who refuse to obey the good news of Jesus Christ. [2 Thessalonians 1.5-7]
” If you observe carefully the proceeding Scripture passage [2 Thessalonians 1:5-7], there is an absence of a secret rapture of the believers, as many teach otherwise, a false doctrine which originated in America in 1830s.There is no trace of evidence to secret rapture of the believers. Apostle John in the book of Revelation makes a notable remark of the great time of testing that will come upon the whole world to test those who belong to this world. [Revelation 3:10] which is widely misinterpreted.
“Because you have obeyed my command to persevere, I will protect you from the great time of testing that will come upon the whole world to test those who belong to this world.”
Notice who are protected. Those who have persevered and endured the persecutions . Even though the church in Philadelphia had little strength, yet they obeyed the words of Jesus and did not deny him. Christ counted them worth of the Kingdom for which they had been suffering. And they were reminded to hold on to what they had, “perseverance and endurance”, so that no one would take away their crown. But this passage did not point to a removal from the great time of testing. (Revelation.3:10). Even this passage is harmed, specially by John MacArthur, Chuck Swindoll and many similar teachers.
“Do not to be surprised of persecutions- because these trials makes us partner with Christ in his suffering and afterwards there is a wonderful joy, a joy of sharing his glory when it is displayed to all the world to see.”
Friends, we are constantly reminded of persecutions. And exclusively, apostle Paul gently reminded the believers that God will count us worthy of His Kingdom for which we are suffering. Which means persecutions are inevitable and that is the way God planned for us. Apostle Peter reminded not to be surprised – because these trials makes us partners with Christ in his suffering and afterwards there is a wonderful joy, a joy of sharing his glory when it is displayed to all the world to see. (1 Peter.4:12-13). Again where Paul stated, “If we have to share his glory, we should also share his suffering“. (Romans. 8:17).
Therefore, let us greatly rejoice when these strange things happens in our life. For a great reward waits us.
May be you will be expelled from your job, family, society, tribe, spouse/marriage, friends circle for the sake of your faith in God and obedience to His high command, Rejoice! Rejoice! And again I say Rejoice! For the Kingdom of Heaven is yours.
If there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised either, and our preaching and continually risking our lives is all meaningless. And if there is no resurrection of the dead, then “Let’s party and get drunk, for tomorrow we die!”. And your faith is useless. And you are still under condemnation of your sins and the most miserable people in the world
I am an Ambassador of the Kingdom of Christ Jesus. And today I would look forward to speak in defense of resurrection of the dead and the hope you may find if you trust God the almighty and his infallible promise of an eternal life to anyone who believes. You can trust God, because God cannot lie.
The transformation of one’s life without his effort or intention of being transformed, but a result of trusting God, is an Indisputable, unprecedented evidence of Christ’s resurrection.
There are volumes of books authored by many scholars over the years. One of the author’s testimony I recently heard was of a skeptic, atheist and an advocate by the name Lee Strobel. He spent his entire two years studying and researching, learning everything he probably could in order, to prove that the fundamental basis of Christianity i.e the resurrection of Christ, is nothing but a myth. What Lee Strobel found instead changed his entire perspectives and transformed his life. He became the author of the book called “The Case for Christ”. Lee is an active believer and speaker of Christ. Now, this is the point I would stress upon, “A transformation of one’s life without his effort or intention of being transformed, but a result of trusting God, is an Indisputable, unprecedented evidence of Christ’s resurrection”.
A transformed life of Paul from Saul of Tarses. Paul a Jew from the tribe of Benjamin and a scholar of the Jewish law was an official witness of Stephen’s murder, a persecutor of Christ’s follower. The historical records shows that he was eager to destroy the Lord’s follower before they spread the faith and it gets widespread. As he was nearing Damascus on this mission, a brilliant light from heaven suddenly beamed down upon him. He suddenly fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, ” Saul! Saul! Why are you persecuting me?” Who are you, Sir? Saul asked. And the Voice replied, “I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting! Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you are to do.” Years later he made this Statement, “I could have confidence in myself if anyone could. If others have reason for confidence in their own efforts, I have even more, because I obeyed the Jewish Law so carefully that I was never accused of any fault. But everything I thought once very important is now worthless and garbage when compared with the priceless gain of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. As a result of my faith in Him I can really know Christ Jesus and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I can learn what it means to suffer with him, sharing in his death, so that somehow, I can experience the resurrection from the dead!”. For further details see the letter to the Philippians in the biblical records.
And yet a recent record of a missionary, late Dr. Graham Stuart Staines an Australian Christianmissionary along with his two sons, Philip (aged 10) and Timothy (aged 6), were burnt to death in India by members of a Hindu fundamentalist group named BajrangDal.
In 2003, Bajrang Dal activist Dara Singh was convicted. In her affidavit before the Commission on the death of her husband and two sons, Gladys Staines stated:
The Lord God is always with me to guide me and to help me try to accomplish the work of Graham, but I sometimes wonder why Graham was killed, and what also made his assassins behave in such a brutal manner on the night of the 22nd/23rd of January 1999.It is far from my mind to punish the persons who were responsible for the death of my husband Graham and my two children. But it is my desire and hope that they would repent and be reformed.
You should notice the attitude of a person, as a result of being transformed will be in contradiction with the one who never trusts and obeys God. The resurrection of Christ sheds hope to all those who obey God and believe Jesus, to share in the same glory of Christ in resurrection, just as Christ Jesus who was raised by the means of the Holy Spirit of God and will never die again. See!, It changes the entire perspectives of one’s life. It narrows down one’s ambition and destination and the pattern of life. You who believe in God’s promise, now can live with a hope of a future world, in which everyone is right with God and will never die again. But to those who live under the dominance of sinful nature, there is death. Because the sinful nature is always hostile to God as it carves to satisfy the lust of the flesh and so it cannot please God.
I can really know Christ Jesus and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I can learn what it means to suffer with him, sharing in his death, so that somehow, I can experience the resurrection from the dead!”
Therefore, as the evidence is indisputable concerning the resurrection of Christ, one can confidently trust God and His promise. And since Jesus Christ has been risen from the dead and lives forever, his promise to return from heaven to gather together those who believes in Him and to judge those who don’t know him and who refused to obey God, is certain.
We are reminded by the apostle that that day of the Lord, in which he comes to judge the world and gather his believers to glory, will not come untill there is a apostasy first, falling aways from the faith and the man of lawlessness, the Antichrist is reavealed first. There is no evidence of a secret rapture in the biblical records by any means if otherwise wrongly interpreted as done by many today. We are always reminded of patient endurance through persecutions which makes us Worthy of Christ Kingdom. See the biblical records of first and second letters to the Thessalonians, and book of Revelation, an exclusive preparatory for the believers for patient endurance as it warns of the events in the near future.
Therefore fellow brethren, be alert and watchful. For the coming of the Lord is at hand. Stay sound in the doctrine and do not waver by the wind of false doctrine, for we are in those days when apostasy is at its peak. I invite those who never knew this good news about Christ to trust in God, and turn away from your ways to obey and walk in God’s way which promises life and peace with God.
The Lord Jesus Christ had already warned his disciples about the persecutions they were going to go through because of their faith. The historical records in the scripture potrays the hardship the believers had gone through. Most of them had paid their lives for the cause of their faith, many were tortured and left homeless. Others ran for their lives hiding in caves, and yet few escaped to deserts. And yet others were cut half with saw and sword. Still others were stoned, cut opened their backs with whips, and some went in skins of sheep and goats, hungry and oppressed and mistreated.
Except apostle John, the author of the book of Revelation all other apostles in the New Testament were killed for their conviction. Stephen, read in the eighth chapter in the book of Acts was perhaps believed to be the first martyr for Christ Jesus. Yet another record concerning the Old Testament believers is found in the letter to the Hebrews, in the eleventh chapter.
To make it short, all the above mentioned people were all believers. They all endured afflictions and hardships just for one reason, they all believed in the promise of God who cannot lie. They were looking for a better place, a heavenly homeland, a world where everyone is right with God. And it is for you today an opportunity to share in that inheritance and glory. You can confidently believe God, because He by the means of the Holy Spirit raised Jesus from dead. Now he lives and will never die. His promise that he will return back to establish his Kingdom stands still and those who trust in him will also rise to live forever and never die.
Therefore endure persecutions and Hardships patiently. And yet what you suffer is nothing compared to the glory he will give us later. But to share in his glory, you must also share his suffering.
